It was so cold out when I took this photo!
I went out, fiddled with the settings, took this photo, and literally ran back inside.

For this prompt, I decided to use 4 different edits of 1 photo.

These are colorful little mice that Katniss loves to attack.
Literally, she'll pounce on these babies with all 4 paws.

Bare branches always mean winter to me... Even though we haven't had ANY snow yet this winter!

They shrink if I put them in the dryer.

We actually only had 2 eggs left.

5. Soft
This is a Christmas blanket that used to be my mom's.
It's usually draped over the back of our couch (during the holidays),
but I had been using it to keep my legs warm.

January 2012 Calendar

Last year, I posted some 2011 calendars for you all to use. I had used templates and textures from Life N Reflection. I had so much fun making and sharing those calendars that I thought I'd do it again for 2012. This year, though, I'll be using a template from Sweet Violet, with all of my own photos. These calendars will be free for you all to use and share, so long as you link back to this blog (or my main one).

I was inspired...
...by the quote! I found it online, and it moved me. I then took the photo because I wanted a visual aid. I need to remember that He has a plan for me, even if it doesn't quite match up with what I want for myself.

It is a family tradition to go apple-picking every September. This year, we chose a different farm, one with a HUGE vegetable patch!

This is our living room in the condo. I actually decorated for Christmas in 2011, which means it's home to me, even though I haven't quite finished making it ours.


Celebrate
My husband and I celebrated the start of our honeymoon on August 27 by sharing some champagne.

I shot this back in January when I went to Magic Kingdom with hubs (fiance at the time) and his family. I loved having everyone together!


I Miss You
I took this photo back in January. It's our nephew and 2 of our nieces, who all live in Tennessee.


Beautiful
The sunrise over the NYC skyline. It doesn't get much more beautiful than that. I took this photo in September as our cruise ship was coming back into port.


Dress Up
In September, I went with hubby and some friends to the Renaissance Faire, which was tons of fun! We all dressed up and drank mead.


Macro
I absolutely love this shot that I took back in September. I can't believe I never showed it off!


Holidays
This is a tree at my job that I took photos of last month. I took the time to shoot in manual (using a friend's DSLR) with custom white balance to achieve the results I wanted.


My Favorite
It was hard to narrow down my favorite shots of 2011; I chose this one because the words speak to me. I focused on still life quite often this year. Combining quotes with photos turned into a new hobby.
